On March 2, 2014, within the festival “Russian Carnival in London” a grand concert which was held in Trafalgar Square in front of many thousands of people, a grand audience. This cultural event was organised and conducted with the support of the city’s authorities of London, as well as the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the UK. Active participation in this event was prominent by the leaders of non-governmental organisations and national-cultural societies of Great Britain and Russia, including representatives of the Tatar community in England. As part of the organisers of this festival, it illustrated the colours of the richness and diversity of multinational culture in Russia. A grand concert stage was decorated with national flags and the young participants of the event as they came out in their national costumes and opened the concert program. Then, there were popular artists of Russia that came out on stage: Dima Bilan, a group of “Lube” and others. Among the performers, there were two singers of the Republic of Tatarstan: Dina Garipova and Liliana Gazizova. They decorated this festival when they sang in Russian, Tatar and English. The audience greeted the performance of Dina and Liliana warmly; with their performances they have won the hearts of Londoners and visitors of the British capital. On behalf of all our compatriots living in the UK, we want to thank Liliana and Dina for their passionate performance.
Those of us, whom are living far from their motherland, are overwhelmed with pride for the Love of Russia; for our multinational demographic society, and especially for our Tatar culture!
