The president of Tatarstan visited Great Britain

Tatarstan delegation headed by President Rustam Minnikhanov have visited the United Kingdom. The delegation have visited the House of Lords and participated in a business meeting, from 7th to 9th of November.
On November 8, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met with representatives of the Tatar Association of the United Kingdom in London.
The meeting was attended by the President of RT assistants Radik Gimatdinov and Airat Nurutdinov, Head of Investment Promotion Agency Linar Yakupov, general director of the Special Economic Zone “Alabuga” Timur Shagivaleev, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of the RT Shamil Ageev.
The meeting was a good opportunity to share ideas about education and culture, strengthen links with communities abroad and to raise the prestige of the Republic. The President supported the alignment of cultural platform of the Tatars in the UK alone and thanked Counsellor Artem Kozhin of the Russian Embassy and the chairwoman Aina Sharifi of the Coordination Council of Compatriots for the support.
Ramil Minullin chairman spoke about the idea of creating the organization, first Sabantuy and further development, and ex co-ordinator Dmitry Elizarov noted that the Association takes part in Association Tatar Youth of Europe, the World Forum of Tatar Youth and participate in the World Congress of Tatars. Тhe teacher of the Tatar language Regina Salyakhova shared joy, that a Sunday school of the native language and culture is operating in England. The President expressed his desire to support initiatives, and in particular to contribute to the strengthening of the teaching staff directly from the Republic.
Also heads of the Tatar Association participated in the forum of Invest in Tatarstan, where investors have expressed great interest in the projects and ideas proposed for implementation.
